Ever since the term ‘Galentine’s Day’ was coined in 2010 by the show Parks and Rec, the term has taken off and built a cultural life of its own. And it’s easy to see why! With all the heartwarming feelings of love surrounding Valentine’s Day, why wouldn’t we want to show that same love and appreciation for our friends?
If you’re looking for a girl’s getaway or staycation opportunity, Clarksville has endless opportunities for a memorable trip together. To help you plan your ideal day, we’ve curated three girl’s getaway experiences below. Pick one to make your planning a breeze, or pick and choose any elements that work for you and your friends’ tastes:
Itinerary 1: Relaxing & Crafting
ArtLink
When you think of a girl's trip or girl’s day out, the first thing that comes to mind is a spa day, which we think is a great way to wind down your day.
But first, let’s start with creative craft time to bring the group together. We recommend scheduling a session at ArtLink, where you can create artwork in several different media.
After your crafts are complete, head over to Eden Day Spa & Salon (make sure you’ve made reservations ahead of time so your whole group can be accommodated). This locally owned paradise has so many options to offer; massages, facials, hair treatments, and a nail salon. Whether the whole group wants to get a manicure together, or you split up for your individualized pampering experience, everyone will leave feeling refreshed and beautiful!
Itinerary 2: An-tea-quing
Miss Lucille's Marketplace
You’re never too old for a tea party with friends! Head to Pinky’s Up Afternoon Tea and prepare to be delighted as the stunning pink and floral interior welcomes you in with a smile. Choose from a wide selection of food and tea pairings with The Tea Experience, and your whole group will be full and happy.
After your tea party wraps up, spend the rest of the day antiquing at one (or more!) of Clarksville’s many charming shops. Miss Lucille’s Marketplace is a well-known and loved option for all things vintage, plus, they have a special Galentine’s-themed event in February. Another local favorite is Warehouse 41 Vintage Market, with over 45,000 square feet of antique wonders, so that there is a treasure for everyone in your group to discover.
Itinerary 3: Wining & Dining
Beachaven Vineyards & Winery
Clarksville is known for its incredible local food scene, and places to enjoy a good glass of wine are no different!
For this itinerary, we suggest starting your day at the beautiful Beachaven Vineyards & Winery, the oldest family-owned winery in Tennessee. Call beforehand to reserve a spot for their Tour & Tasting Experience so your group can get to know the grounds, and sample the wines together to find your favorites. At only $10 per person, this great experience is a no-brainer. Plus, if you coordinate your visit for a Saturday, you can catch live music at the vineyard as well.
If your crew is not as into wine, or just feel like trying something new, another option for the first part of your day out is to stop by Trazo Meadery. Neither wine nor beer, mead is a beverage all its own, with honey as a primary ingredient. This business is also family-owned (and award-winning!) and offers mead flights and charcuterie.
Next up on the agenda is a treat-yourself-style girl’s dinner at a fun local spot. Depending on your group’s food preferences, we recommend Yada on Franklin for amazing ambiance and Italian food, or Shelby’s Trio, which features two restaurants and a gorgeous rooftop patio all in one!
Bonus Fun in Clarksville!
The Pink House
Because girls just wanna have (more) fun, we’re here to supply you with some bonus ideas that are too good to pass up!
First and foremost, if you plan to all stay together for your girl’s getaway or staycation, there’s nowhere better in Clarksville than The Pink House! From the prettiest pink appliances and decor to the gorgeous floral wallpaper, this local Airbnb is downright dreamy.
For a great morning coffee and breakfast option before you start any of the itineraries above, we recommend the new and already beloved Amsterdam Local Café. Hang inside or on the patio and enjoy coffee, food, and local service that can’t be beaten.
And last but not least, if your girl’s getaway happens to take place on a day with nice weather, a group stroll or bike ride through the Clarksville Greenway is a must! It’s always great to get outdoors with friends, and the Greenway offers a picturesque opportunity to bond in nature.
