A Romantic Weekend

Day One:

A French brunch at Madeleine’s Place is the perfect way to start your romantic getaway. The intimate atmosphere and delectable cuisine will set the tone to impress.

What says romance better than a custom-designed, one-of-a-kind gift? Send the ultimate gift of thoughtfulness with that special item you won’t find anywhere else. Browse the Downtown Artists Co-op, Seasons: The Museum Shop or Grand Divisions on Franklin for items that are locally crafted by Clarksville artists -- you might even meet them in the store.

Set aside all the distractions and enjoy a leisurely hand-in-hand stroll along the serene Cumberland RiverWalk. Time it just right and you can find a swing and watch a spectacular river sunset.

Reserve a table at Edward’s Steakhouse where steaks share the menu with pastas & sandwiches in a polished setting with exposed-brick walls. Weekends feature a live piano bar. Or, enjoy a laid-back atmosphere with a wood-fired pizza and brew at The Thirsty Goat.

Across the street, catch live professional theatre at the Roxy Regional Theatre. You’ll find a variety of productions slated throughout the year. They also offer Dinner-and-Show tickets with Edward’s on certain performances.

In winter months, enjoy the captivating streetlights and Ice Skating, and in summer months, catch a free outdoor concert during Downtown @ Sundown at Downtown Commons.

Day Two:

Brunch at The Wonderland Café means freshly-created and artistically presented dishes. You might always want to pick up some goodies from their in-house pastry chef for later.

Enjoy a stroll around Dunbar Cave State Park and let nature work its magic.

Head out to Beachaven Vineyards & Winery for a tour and tastings. Dozens of award-winning wines are at your fingertips, plus you’ll want to allow some extra time for the amazing gift shop.

Prepare for the ultimate relaxation with a couple’s massage and facials at Eden Day Spa.

For tantalizing Italian flavors, lush desserts, and after-dinner craft cocktails, try Yada on Franklin. This newly designed space brings modern flair and community, quirky and sophistication together. Who could say no to Butter Cake and Italian Cherries or fresh-made Tiramisu?

In the summer months on weekends, head back to Beachaven for an afternoon of live music from regional singer/songwriters and rotating food trucks. Or, catch a concert with the nationally-recognized and exceptionally talented Gateway Chamber Orchestra.
