County and Southern Rock is the featured musical style at the free Mic Check Monday concert series on June 10 at Downtown Commons. Concerts will take place each Monday in June and July.
Opening the event at 6:00 p.m. is Andrea Guess. New to Clarksville, Andrea is not new to the stage. Performing since the age of 14 all around South Central Kentucky she has opened for Billy Currington, Jeff Bates, Ted Nugent, Danielle Peck, Bryan White, Andy Griggs, Sawyer Fredricks, Roni Stoneman, Uncle Kracker, Twang & Round, and more. Andrea puts her heart and soul into each performance. In 2018, Andrea performed 230 shows and is on track to beat that for 2019.
Andrea headed back to the studio in May with plans to release new original music for the first time in 13 years.
At 7:30 is Ledbetter & Brit from The Confederate Horses. The duo has been playing Southern Rock and Country covers in venues in and around the Clarksville, Nashville, and Hopkinsville area for 10 years.
Presented by Visit Clarksville, CDE Lightband, and Downtown Commons, Mic Check Monday will offer different genres of music each Monday in June and July. All concerts will begin at 6:00 p.m., weather permitting.
No food or drink will be offered on-site. Guests may bring food and chairs, but no alcohol is allowed in the park.
