Wings of Liberty Museum
The Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum is an ambitious new project from the Fort Campbell Historical Foundation designed to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of the soldiers and units who have shaped Fort Campbell’s legacy for generations. The museum will proudly preserve and celebrate the history of the legendary 101st Airborne Division, 5th Special Forces Group, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, and the many service members who have called Fort Campbell home.
Situated on a beautifully designed 33-acre campus, the museum grounds will feature:
-
Landscaped outdoor spaces
-
A memorial brick courtyard and commemorative wall
-
Historic aircraft and large military artifacts planned for future installation
Exhibits
At more than 51,000 square feet, the Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum is about four times the size of the previous U.S. Army Pratt Museum, creating space for expansive exhibits, interactive experiences, and larger-than-life artifacts that bring military history to life. Visitors will journey through defining moments in American military history with multi-media and immersive displays covering:
-
World War II
-
Vietnam
-
Desert Storm
-
The Global War on Terrorism
-
And ongoing operations that continue shaping history today
Each gallery will frame the stories of Fort Campbell’s units within the broader chronology of world events, connecting visitors to the people, missions, and moments that changed history. Designed as a premier Mid-South attraction, the Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum will be accessible to the public without military ID, creating a welcoming experience for veterans, families, history enthusiasts, students, and travelers alike.
