Blake Monroe

Blake Monroe Senior Director of Sales

Blake joined Visit Clarksville in 2021 and has quickly become an essential member of both the organization and the local community. In 2025, he was promoted from Director of Sports Tourism to Senior Director of Sales, reflecting his leadership and impact within the tourism sector. Blake is an Austin Peay State University Alumni, where he graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication with a minor concentration in event planning. Prior to transferring to APSU, Blake studied using the TN Promise, earning his associate degree in mass communication. Blake holds the Tourism Marketing Professional (TMP) certification through the Southeast Tourism Society and is currently pursuing his Sports Tourism Strategist (STS) certification through Sports ETA, further strengthening his expertise in the field. Blake has a background in many professional avenues including Sports Journalism, public relations, and fundraising. He started his communications career as a sportswriter for the Beale Street Bears, a Fansided site dedicated to the Memphis Grizzlies. Since joining Visit Clarksville, Blake has made significant contributions to the growth of sports tourism in the region—recruiting new events and helping retain long-standing tournaments. In 2024 alone, he oversaw 44 tournaments, events, and championships that brought approximately 70,000 visitors to Montgomery County and generated a $33 million economic impact. Beyond event recruitment and planning, Blake works closely with local partners, hotels, and attractions to champion the value of tourism in the region. His forward-thinking approach continues to bring fresh ideas and momentum to the local tourism industry. When Blake is not working, he enjoys the city with his wife and their 2 rescues.

Ryan Clark Sales and Services Manager

Ryan stepped into the role of Sales and Services Manager with Visit Clarksville in April 2025 and is thrilled to be part of the Visit Clarksville team. Ryan has a diverse professional background, including environmental education, outdoor recreation, state park programming, and over 10 years of experience in the event and tourism industries. Most of Ryan's tourism experience centers on hospitality sales, event and festival management, event center management, concert and live music management, and destination marketing. Ryan grew up in the Indianapolis, Ind. area, then moved to Kentucky to attend Murray State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in recreation and park management, as well as a master's degree in nonprofit management. He is also pursuing a doctorate degree in education and community leadership. Ryan moved to Tennessee in 2022, and he absolutely loves the state! He enjoys spending time traveling, fishing, hiking, and attending concerts and festivals. Ryan is looking forward to attracting visitors, groups, and events to Clarksville, driving local economic growth, and promoting Clarksville-Montgomery County as a premier destination to the world!
