The 4th of July weekend is all about soaking up the sunshine, eating something smoky off the grill, and spending time with the people you love. Whether you're planning a staycation visiting friends and family in town, or hosting out-of-town guests, Clarksville has everything you need for a fun-packed weekend. From good eats to splashy creek stops, here’s your go-to list for where to eat, play, shop, and explore during Independence Day weekend.
Eat & Drink: Come Hungry, Leave Happy
Legends Smokehouse & BBQ
Nothing says 4th of July like a plate piled high with smoked meat. Legends Smokehouse & Grill brings the heat with tender brisket, saucy ribs, and pulled pork that’s been slow-cooked to perfection. Pair your meal with a side of baked beans and some banana puddings, and you've got yourself a holiday feast. (Yes, puddings! If choosing among the multiple flavors is too difficult, order a flight. Better yet, you can enjoy any pudding flavor as a milkshake!)
Mission BBQ
BBQ with a side of patriotism? Yes, please. Mission BBQ is known for its smoky goodness and its commitment to honoring our service members. Stop in for a rack of ribs or their famous jalapeño cheddar sausage and stick around for the noon national anthem.
Blackhorse Pub & Brewery
If you're spending time downtown, Blackhorse Pub & Brewery s a must. With craft beer, wood-fired pizzas, and a breezy patio, it’s perfect for a chill afternoon or a casual night out.
Star Spangled Brewing Co.
Raise a glass to America at this veteran-owned brewery, where every beer feels like a celebration. The vibe is fun and laid-back, with plenty of outdoor seating and games to keep the good times rolling.
Tap This
Looking for something off the beaten path? Tap This is a cozy local spot on historic Public Square with rotating taps, food trucks, and friendly faces. It’s the kind of place where you’ll show up for one drink and stay for three. While there, snap a selfie with the beautiful mural on the side of the building.
Play: Let Loose and Have Some Fun
The City Forum
Arcade games, go-karts, bowling, laser tag, and more—The City Forum is your one-stop shop for all things fun. It’s great for families, friend groups, and anyone looking to escape the heat with a little indoor excitement.
Varsity Pins
Retro bowling meets arcade games and quirky cocktails at this gem inside Miss Lucille’s. It’s got a vintage feel with modern flair, and you’ll want to snap a few photos while you’re there.
Rage N Axe
Need to let off some steam? Throw an axe. Rage N Axe is fun, competitive, and a little unexpected. Perfect for a group outing or date night with an edge.
