Visit more than 10 public art pieces  – murals, sculptures, and other installations -- within a few walkable blocks. Another dozen pieces are within a short driving distance and on the APSU campus.

See a gallery full of locally-created and affordably priced pieces at Downtown Artists Co-Op. With options of paintings and drawings, accessories, jewelry, cards, and more, you won’t leave empty-handed! The Sanctuary on Main embodies rustic, charm, and historic architecture throughout its lounge and venue areas. This beautifully restored space also includes a gift shop filled with artisan products. Drafts by Ola exhibit works from current established artists but also provides studio space to up-and-coming creators of all ages.

Savor the crafty creations at Tennessee’s pioneer wine-maker, Beachaven Winery. Take a tour and learn the fascinating history of this special place. With so many award-winning choices and a large gift shop, you won’t leave here empty-handed either. While you’re there, peek in the production room at the dozens of hand-carved barrel tops by Veteran and self-taught artists.  

Lunch or dinner at Silke’s Old World Breads can be as light or heavy as your appetite will allow. This owner-artist lines the walls with photography and paintings, as well as other local creatives.

Austin Peay State University offers an array of arts events throughout the year – from exhibits, and performances to readings or workshops by students, faculty, and guest artists. The University’s 3,000+ piece art collection can be found in various ‘mini-galleries’ throughout several academic buildings and around the beautiful grounds.
