Tennessee's first licensed meadery, this family-owned business experimented until they arrived at the perfect combination of honey, water, and yeast. (Think wine, but with honey instead of grapes.) Their first successful batch won a gold medal from the Tennessee Viticultural and Oenological Society. Every bottle they produce draws from family heritage, and they are proud to be able to share it. Trazo Mead is open for tastings the first and third Saturday of each month from 3-6p.m at their Adams, TN location. Stop by and see the meadery, talk with the Mazer (the guy who makes the mead) and enjoy a tasting. The $5.00 tasting ticket is applied to any purchase you make. Visit their website to read about the history of mead, the family story, recipes and cocktails, or to shop.
