Celebrate summer pollinators like hummingbirds and bumblebees at our Nature Festival on August 20 from 8am to 1pm! Outdoor Activities - 8 am to 1 pm Children's scavenger hunt and hummingbird activity under the Blue Tents in the field. Come out and be a pollinator pal! Arts and craft activities, McGregor and Holeman Pavilion, end of the field Ed Oliver of the Tennessee Trails Association Tent Gardeners will be on hand to discuss native plants for pollinators. Hummingbird banding demonstration in the 'backyard' of Nature Center by Southeastern Avian Research. Talks - Nature Center Activity Room 10 am – Hal Hassall will talk ‘BEES’ in the Nature Center classroom 11:30 am – “Hummingbirds” Learn all about these flying jewels from Master Hummingbird Bander, Cyndi Routledge. Vendors Poptown Popsicles Food Truck Snapdragon WAGON Flowers Parking Information Volunteers: park in the entrance lot inside the park and be shuttled up to the area. We will maintain extra spots in the main parking lot for handicapped marked vehicles only.
